Is Equality Even Possible?

Right it's been a long time guys but I guess I'm back ,for a little bit, now I have a comfortable 2 days off work.

There are different platforms when the subject equality is raised, the main ones being racism and sexism. I'd like to address these with my personal viewpoints on the matter. Beforehand I should really put out a little disclaimer. If you're going to read this then you should really come in open-minded. Reading this will anger you if you don't. Actually, fuck it, read away. I'm a grouchy morning person and could do with the conflict to wake me up.

So first of all I'll start on racism. To kick this off I'll say that if you are blatantly racist and don't even know why then you're an idiot. If you can't look past something so simple as a person's country of origin or skin colour then you need to take a look at yourself and then repeatedly smash your head in with a rock. It's pathetic. You hear people say things like 'I focking hate pakis they stink'. Do they? Do all people from Pakistan stink? Do you know them all? Have you met 51% of the population so that you could make a reasonable claim? No you haven't! If we're going to start making minorities based on that then why don't we just burn all the people who are cross-eyed, or gas all the people with freckles the dirty bastards!!! WE DON'T WORK LIKE THAT! I'd like to think that with all this evolution, science and modern day advances that we could possibly stop being shitty to each other just because of the colour of someones skin, or even the extent of someone's tan. Most girls tan the shit out of themselves until they look like they belong in a fruitbowl so why the hell do you ridicule people who naturally have what these plastic, Barbie doll, Dorito complexion, albino hair with jet black eyes fuckers have?!?!?!?!

I issue a personal insult to all needless racism right now. You want to blame the immigrants for the state our countries in? How about blame OUR government. They're the people who almost invite them in. Let's say you were growing up in a poor country. There is no public health system and you and your family is constantly at risk of illness. All you want to do is work and provide a good life for them. You can't help that you were born in the middle of a raging battlefield that's plagued with famine and sickness. You see a country that begins to promise you that you can live a good life and not even have to work for it. You are introduced to benefits and loans. You look at all the other useless twats in the country who have had a few fights in school and think they understand what 'suffering' is. These people look down on you because somehow YOU are inferior. Short story ends. This is the story of our country's reaction to the immigrants that it so happily greets with open arms.

Our government is to blame. Our government is so far up it's own ass that it can smell toothpaste. Don't direct anger on people you don't really know, direct it on the people who make your decisions for you. Look at taxes for example. You pay taxes to support other people. Not all of these people are bad people, but there is no way of telling who needs the money and who doesn't. The government was so willing to dish out money to every sob story that we've now become a completely soft nation. If it wasn't for our military then we'd have been pushed over by now. Just palmed in the face and told to go sit in the corner. Good ol' Blighty has been well and truly raped by modern day politics and it's their fault alone. Quit whining about people who can't help what has happened and start taking your frustrations out on those who can make a difference.

In the next couple of days I'll write a blog concerning sexism and my rather strong views on that. With that said I need a large coffee and some soup, preferably tomato, hint of basil maybe. Love you all, take care now, bye bye then.

SPELL CORRECTLY FOR ZE FUHRER!!!

If you don't get the title it's a hint that I'm a bit of a grammar Nazi, that's right, an infamous grammar Nazi! I'm proud of it. Why should I hide away my pride for the English language? I am proud to be British and last I checked so was everyone else in Britain more or less, if this is so then why do people butcher English so much? People bitch and moan and write horrible things like 'get dem pakis owt our cuntree' and to this I issue a huge middle finger. 9 out of 10 times I see something like this, it's from some mindless, knuckle dragging idiot who's spent the best part of his school years hiding in a bush with a bunch of other guys 'bunking'. Sounds like fun guys, hope that get's you far in life, no seriously, all the best. Well I raise this point not because I wish to talk about immigration (that is a COMPLETELY different evening) but because I'm amazed that someone, who can't even spell the word literate, can have the audacity to think he's better than foreign people who come to our country and have the decency to learn the language (most of the time).

It's not like I think everyone should speak like a 50 year old like I do, I like the way I write/talk and I'd hate it if everyone did it. But speaking/writing correctly isn't difficult and should not be looked down upon. Let's break that concept down into some a nice little script to make it easier to comprehend :-

Now in this script there will be 2 characters having a conversation online.
One will be named TS meaning toothless simpleton,
The other will be me for 'teh lulz'.

Me : Hello there :D
TS : omg heyyyyyz howz u lol
Me : I'm fine thank you, and yourself?
TS : Im gud fankz lol
Me : Good stuff :)
TS : wuu2 atm btw m8 lol?
Me You're a fucking idiot.

Just a small taste of internet conversations these days. I really do blame internet messenger services like MSN (pile of wank) and whatnot. They seem to almost encourage people to write as shitty as they possibly can. I can see the practical use of it in text messages but when you have a keyboard in front of you? Does it really take that long to write 'you' instead of 'u'? Or how about the really stupid ones like 'boi' or 'ov', use them and I'll be handing instant pain and despair out I swear it.

I guess I just want people to start being patriotic again, you can't be a patriot if you spell the word 'paytreeut', which wouldn't surprise me. Also don't put numbers in words either. Avril Lavigne was a bastard for it and so are you 'm8'! Why would you do that!?!? SERIOUSLY!

Right well I'll bring this rant to a close now anyway, I could go on for hours but I don't want to deprive myself of food, water or Minecraft. Thank you for sparing 5 minutes to read this if you have and I guess I'll check you later *insert Fonz style motion*.

Also guys another little advertisement on this blog (Not even being paid for it either). If you're a gamer and you'd like to get to know the local community round here I suggest joining up on this newly created website called Javacakes. It's based in the North Wales area and it's a great place to gather a few Steam I.D's gamertags or just some general chit-chat about gaming. It's still in construction at this moment in time but I hope to see you guys there, I'll post a link below.
Tatty bye...

(Seriously sign up or I'll kick your ass at Guitar Hero or something else mildly threatening)

Photos on Facebook...

Now I'm a self confessed Facebook addict. Facebook is always open somewhere on my browser and I regularly check it, I have no shame in that matter, why should I? That's not what this is about though, what this is about is the increasing number of pointless Facebook photos that crop up. When I talk about these I'm referring to the photos where it's people sat in front of their webcam making stupid ass faces for hours on end then posting them on Facebook. Seriously it's absolutely retarded. Why would you do that? Do you seriously have nothing better to do than spend an hour plastering make up all over your face so you can sit in your room on your own and make ridiculous 'rawr' faces. Oh and to people who do them, you do know people generally feel sorry for you when they see it. That's not even the worst part of it. It's the fact these people (90% of the time it is the girls who let the side down) take hundreds of pictures of themselves just to say, when complimented, 'oh this was a horrible photo I hate it' or 'EEeeEEeeww I look minging here'. DON'T FUCKING POST THEM UP THEN BECAUSE WE'LL JUST START AGREEING WITH YOU. It's frustrating, it really is.

That's not the only type of photo that pees me off though. There seems to be an obsession with flicking the V's at the camera while screwing your mouth up. Again why? Your face looks like a dog's arse now and you're just offending me. You're not being 1337 and you generally put across that you're a vain, egocentric, poorly educated delinquent with nothing better to do.

I, myself, am a fan of action shots. Most of my Facebook pictures are of me upside down or something. This is because a photo is supposed to be a captured memory. When I look at any of the pictures on my Facebook I generally get a feeling of nostalgia and a good memory will return to me. What good memory could you possibly have when you're looking at yourself making a 'rawr' face with 'I love Dave' (probably spelt in Lolcat grammar with one of those dumbass =3 smilies) written upside down on your hand? Your memory can be 'Man I was bored that day' why? BECAUSE YOU HAVE 50 PICTURES WITH THE EXACT SAME THING ON IT!

Well I guess that concludes my first actual angry rant. It felt nice shouting about something on my keyboard. Stay tuned if you enjoy lot's of capital letters and naughty words then.

P.S.
If you live in the Llandudno area I'd like to bring your attention to a new game shop which should be opening on the 30th of January. For details go to the Facebook page of Jason Howe which I'll link up below. Thanks for your time and I'll catch you next time.

Gaming platforms...

Now there's a lot of controversy and arguments between gamers these days. Which is the best console? Well there isn't one, they each have there own properties which make them stand out, all of them have pros and cons and just because the software is better or the games are longer doesn't make it a better gaming experience. Now I'm a gamer, quite a big one at that. I own all the consoles or have owned them and so I believe I can come up with a balanced argument for all of them.

I guess I'll dive right in and start with the PS3. I recently (literally yesterday) bought my PS3 but it's not the first time I've come into contact with it. Now it's pros are generally listed as BluRay player, built in wireless, free online, internet browser and reliability. Now while these are all true, it's also got a few conflicting bad points, the main one being it's list of exclusive games. Don't get me wrong it has some fantastic games but in general it's highest selling exclusives aren't really as highly regarded  as, say, the Halo franchise, Gears of War and the fact that a lot of DLC and demos are released earlier on the Xbox. Also, if you tie this in with the fact that PS3 doesn't get any Valve games (some of the biggest and best games to 'real' gamers) then it's safe to say that Xbox have the biggest names. Although I'm not saying the PS3 doesn't have it's good games. MGS, Uncharted, God of War and Little Big Planet (which I see as a little overrated). All these games are massively popular and for good reason. Enough of listing games though or we'll be here forever. There is no denying that the PS3 is a better machine, but notice how I chose my words carefully with 'machine'. On paper the PS3 makes for impressive reading but when it comes to playing online, it seems that they are riddled with problems. There is a big difference between the reliable connection I get on my Xbox and PC compared to my PS3. This is why I've designated my PS3 as pretty much single player only. There are a lot of people who would disagree with me but I can prove my case easily, I have my Xbox and PS3 hooked up to the same TV and can show you the difference on the same game online. This may well be due to the fact that the PS3's version of live is completely free. When you look at it like that then it's pretty difficult to complain about things you get for free right?

Now on to the Xbox. The Xbox was my original next gen gaming platform and it was good to me througghout that time. It's affordable, easy to use, has an amazing list of games and the online community is absolutely huge! However, take into account that the Xbox I now own is my second and the price 'pro' is pretty much null and void. Now I would recommend an Xbox to anyone, literally anyone. It's so mindbogglingly simple to operate it's unreal, there are tutorials pretty much everywhere making it fantastic for first time gamers or just casual gamers. This is also one of my biggest problems with it. The Xbox 360 is just getting closer and closer to becoming the Wii (which in my opinion is a joke of a console, honestly Nintendo you fucked up good there). A lot of people complain you have to pay for the online but I don't see that much to complain about, I mean come on, it's £40 a year is that really breaking the bank? The Xbox's biggest fault however is with it's reliability. You have to replace pretty much everything all the time. This includes, new controllers, headsets, messenger kits, games and the entire Xbox itself. Many view the Xbox as being worse than the PS3 and as I've explained above I don't entirely agree with this. If you want the best games then you'll get on the Xbox, if you want a mature and civilised online however....

So we end with the PC. 'But that isn't a console!?!?!?!?!?!?!' Yes it is and it's possibly the best. Practically every game you can get on any platform is available in some way or another on your computer. It plays all the biggest and best games a hell of a lot faster than any other console and often opens up fantastic community content that is completely free. Not to mention the amount of modding used and NOT abused. There is a huge drawback to the PC though. Cost. It is so damn expensive to have a computer that is capable of playing everything to it's highest standards. I'm paying nearly £500 for a new and that's nowhere near top of the range. I'm telling you now that if money wasn't a problem then you'd have to be brain-dead to not pick it. Unfortunately, money is a massive factor, probably the biggest and it's because of this that many people don't opt for the PC. I could sit here and list all of the things a computer could do but I'm sure you're well aware of what it's capable of.

To conclude, I'd say my personal favourite is the PC but I still love my Xbox and PS3. Gaming is a part of my life and I'm just happy to know I can do it on all fronts :D If you've got an opinion then that's great and you can't be wrong because it's your personal view on the matter. Just because you think differently though doesn't mean you should be in contest. People want cross platform games, well I'm telling you with the current state of the gaming community that'll make things 10 times worse. All in all I hope you guys, once again, open your minds a be a bit more sensitive to other people's opinions and views.

Now I want to go and kick Liquid Snake's ass, wish me luck.
Take care now, bye bye then.

Music is an art form...

So my first real blog is going to be concerning music and the effects of it. Now I'm a worshipper of the heavy metal genre with my taste spanning across a lot of the sub-genres inside of it. Music like battle metal, power metal, melodic death metal and so on and so forth. Now what I don't understand, with music and the music industry, is why there is so much rivalry in it. If I walked down the street with a Cannibal Corpse t-shirt on, I would be mocked, laughed at, ridiculed and probably worse. That shouldn't be the case. Musical differences should be embraced, just because you don't like that person's interests doesn't mean you have to do bad things to them. It's getting out of hand and it's probably one of the biggest causes of alienation and subsequently bullying in schools.

We all know that there are 'labels' (e.g emo, goth, indie) in society and no matter how much we say 'Well I think labelling is wrong' we all do it. There's nothing wrong with labelling someone as something as long as that doesn't change your perspective on them as a person. If their 'label' directly affects the way the they treat you then I can understand but more often than not it doesn't. For example I'm a rollerblader, I love rollerblading, it's probably the greatest thing I have discovered in my life. But people will see my skates and instantly start insulting them or me. Why? I am one of many who have found something in life that makes us so happy it's unreal, it's good exercise and doesn't harm anyone else. Why the hell should that make me eligible for ridicule? It makes no sense when you think about it yet it's still done. The vast majority of people will immediately poke fun at what is different and that isn't right, being unique defines us and if we spend all our time doing and worrying what everyone else is doing then we lose sight of 'being unique' and you have a fucked up society like the one we have today.

Now before you would call me a hypocrite I'll admit that I've done my fair share of judging in the past, who hasn't? No-one is perfect, NO-ONE. Do I think this will atone for them? No, no I don't. But it's never too late to just decided to be a bit more understanding and compassionate.

So you may be thinking 'what does all this have to do with music?'. Well music is probably the most popular form of art there is, now as with all arts there are different styles. More often than not, what music you listen to determines your 'label' or position in society. If you listen to heavier music, such as myself, you are called an emo, goth, mosher yadda yadda yadda.  Listen to rap then you're a chav, pop - gay, indie - indie etc. Now that's weird, because I like rap music... I know 'chavs' who like some metal. So what does this mean? The world's turning upside down? No. Open your mind and be a bit more tolerant of other people music and you might see why they like it. One of my best friends used to laugh at the music I listened to saying it was 'pointless shouting'. That was back when I listened to System of a Down and Metallica and whatnot. Through the years their music taste has broadened and they now listen to some of the heaviest music on the planet. You may not think you'll like it to start off with but given the chance, you may grow to love it.

Now this can be used in all aspects of life. I guess what I'm asking is for people to be a bit more open-minded to other peoples interests and tastes. Nothing bad can come of it so why the hell not? Music is music, granted, I believe some people destroy it, but I'm always one to appreciate talent when I hear it. It's an art form and practically everyone loves it in one way or another, if that's so then we shouldn't be so hostile towards each others varying styles.

On that note, I'm going to go enjoy San Andreas as I've finally unlocked the second island, so to my 'millions' of readers, good bye for now.

So it begins.....

I've known about blogging for some time now, well how could you not? Day in day out you are constantly reminded to check out someone's public diary. Some of course are worth it, others maybe not so much. This place is going to be used as a place to help me vent. I get pissed off at things that other people don't really think about and my friends are bored to death hearing me scream about plus I guess most people on Facebook are there for Farmville and 'LOL JK' groups so my ranting doesn't fit into their agenda too well.

I'm also an avid gamer so I'll probably post up gaming news, happenings, events, reviews mixed in with with my own opinion. I would have called myself a hardcore gamer had I not discovered PC gaming. You find out that it's rather easy to be good on consoles these days so if you want a challenge and think yo can survive your ego being trashed then I'd suggest downloading Steam and getting on with it.However, I do have a tattoo of a Triforce so I guess I'm a bit more hardcore than your average COD 'BeAsT'. It'll be mostly Xbox and PC news at the moment, all though I am sorting out getting myself a nice little PS3.

Also it would be nice to have my own kind of account to look back on someday. Maybe years from now I'll see this and think 'Holy shit I used to think like that? Man I was an asshole'. But in all seriousness I'm not overly pessimistic or anything, just more of a realist. I hopefully intend to update daily and do some kind of weekly game review. This all depends on feedback and my own motivation I guess. Well this is my first, let's see how long this thing lasts.
